A familiar Merry Christmas and a happy new year

Board of Directors

Best wishes for 2021<.

Dear associates, colleagues and friends.

It is obvious to say that this was a difficult year because it has been so in all areas and on all scales. It is not necessary for life to put us through tests of this type to demonstrate the robustness of the Port of Las Palmas, whose port community has overcome the worst moments of the Covid-19 pandemic with flying colours. Even the port traffic has managed to remain at acceptable levels despite the uncertainty, which shows that we are a reliable port for operators.

Our dedication, effort and professionalism are not only guaranteeing the continuity of our companies, but are also consolidating our Port as a knowledgeable and hard-working port. With this timely contribution that we are making to the general interest of the economy, we are also rediscovering our enormous potential, which makes us feel more secure and excited about the task of taking on new challenges.

We enjoy a very professional organization, which seems to be one step ahead of the Port dynamics. True to our founding fathers, our mission continues to be one of representation, management, defence and promotion of the common professional interests of the associated companies.
Our objectives are always oriented to provide our associates with the best tools and pertinent information to tackle the daily challenges we face. We approach these challenges from a cooperative stand point, dialoguing and good will.

Asocelpa has proven to be a flexible organization that has adapted to the evolution of the Port for almost a century, supporting each and every one of the sectors that have made it great. We are a transparent organization that values business effort, competitiveness and competition.

Our strengths, therefore, lie in our continuous dedication and a port vision based on experience and a deep knowledge of the sector, without shortcuts. This is no secret, as this is how the world’s largest ports have progressed.

With these words of confidence and encouragement in our future, we would like to renew our commitment to all of you on these special Christmas dates, on the eve of a New Year in which we will put all our efforts to be better, if possible.
