Mr. Luis Ibarra, President of the A.P.L.P. (Port Authority of Las Palmas) signed the Friends of the Ocean Membership Agreement for a sustainable ocean economy that combines economic development and environmental protection.

A new collaborative partner joins our community and will play a key role in the growth of our collaborative network. Facing the great challenge of preventing and reducing the amount and impact of plastic waste that reaches the marine environment requires forging agreements that help Asocelpa and its members to have the support of regional, national and international organizations and institutions that share our vision on the importance of the sustainability of the oceans and the need to protect the species that inhabit them.

The Port Authority of Las Palmas as a new collaborating partner comes to reinforce the project. By joining forces, we will be more and better, ensuring a future in which the protection of the oceans and sustainable production move forward together.

Let’s make it happen!
