The Las Palmas Port Authority will propose the reduction of the corrective fees that apply to the ships, merchandise and passengers that operate in the port facilities of the Canary Islands.
The President of the Port Authority of Las Palmas, Juan José Cardona, has announced that the excellent state of health of the Ports of Las Palmas, leading the Port Authority to comply with one of the commitments made by the presidency with the operators, shipping companies and the port community in general and therefore, the reduction of the corrective fees that apply to vessels, goods and passengers for the year 2020 will be raised by the next board of directors.

President Cardona has been optimistic of being able to promote the initiative by the Port Authority of Las Palmas come to fruition, since the port institution meets all the requirements to achieve that institutional goal is in a healthy financial state and the adequate volume of investment is being planned.
Currently, the corrective rates have the following coefficients in the Ports of Las Palmas: 1.15 for ships; 1.30 goods and 1.30 tickets. The proposal would be to apply 1; 1.05 and 1.1 respectively, as long as they have the approval and approval of Puertos del Estado.
